Curriculum of studies – additional information and explanations for students of medicine In the academic year 2017/2018 our new study program will be implemented on the 6 year (as a practical year) and it may result in limited possibilities to accept students for many courses, especially internship program. In this situation we do not recommend to take here internship program. In 2017/2018 our curriculum should not change for 1-5 year whereas on the 6 year regular study program will be 100% deleted and replaced by internship one. In this situation you can put into your learning agreement our 1-5 year subjects and optimal (to avoid overlapping) is not to take different year level courses. On each year level subjects such as surgery, internal diseases, pediatrics should be taken entirely during winter or summer semester. Additional explanations for our curriculum: 2nd yr Public health , Medical Law a are deleted and these 2 courses are 100% not possible to take here in 2017/2018 . The same situation is with Infectious and parasitic childhood diseases. 5th . General Surgery year: general and oncological surgery, cardiosurgery, thoracosurgery, ,gastrointestinal surgery . Gynecology and Obstetrics 4th year: gynecological and obstetrical examinations, normal delivery management . Pediatrics 5th year: cardiology, endocrinology , hematology-oncology . Psychiatry: only one semester program (3 ECTS) is available for Erasmus+ students 5th . Gynecology and Obstetrics year: gynecological and obstetrical pathology – diagnostics and treatment) – only for advanced students Many other courses consist of 2 semesters program: winter (1st part) and summer ( (2nd part). To complete whole year program and ECTS student must participate in whole year program (winter + summer). Optional courses might be available. However, there is certain number of students required to form the group and if the group is completed additional students cannot be accepted. These courses are rather confirmed as “credited without mark”. We have many other courses credited without mark in our curriculum (!) and if you want to have final grade you must explain this problem to tutors after arrival.
